Jean Hoerni was remembered for inventing the planar process. It consists of many transistors. It involves silicone dioxide, oxidation, SiO2 etching and heat diffusion. It leads to digital technology. With what he did we we now have digital technology. Most of the stuff we use now was an advancement from Jean Hoerni of what he invented.
